St Josephs were represented at the long delayed 2020 Leinster Scór final which was held at Wolfe Tones GAA in Gibbstown County Meath on Saturday 23rd October in the Quiz final. The club were taking part for the first time since the sad passing of long time team member Johnny Hannify in April this year and it was difficult but necessary for the club to take part. We were represented by Dick Stokes, Aidan Walsh, Anselm Conlon and Hugo Slevin who stood in at a late stage to replace Ciaran Reynolds who was indisposed on the day. Unfortunately, we didn’t get through to the All Ireland but it was a very close affair as St Josephs lost out after a tie break. A very close event saw Counties Kildare,Offaly,Meath and Westmeath claim the top four spots with only two points separating all four teams after the table quiz portion of the event. All four then took to the stage where Offaly and Kildare tied for first place with St Josephs and the host club Wolfe Tones tying for the third spot on offer to reach the All Ireland. Wolfe Tones just edged the tie break and St Josephs bowed out for this year but are looking forward to taking part when Scor resumes in 2022. Well done to the four men who represented our club at the event and well done to all of the winners on the day.
