Community Association Development Draw!
There was great news in the locality within the past fortnight with the announcement of the planned developments for the Community Pitch. The plans unveiled recently along with the Development Draw which is on Easter Sunday has the full support of St Josephs GAA. The plans in the first phase are for a re developed pitch which will be great for all our teams into the future. The draw which is in online and normal ticket sales has a First Prize of €5000 with tickets costing €100. The link for online sales is https://onlinefundraiser.ie/horseleap-streamstown/
We ask all our members & supporters to fully back this draw as the potential for improving the facilities cannot be missed
Westmeath Movathon Lake County Challenge
Westmeath GAA’s Movathon Lake County Challenge was launched recently with all GAA clubs in the county involved with this fundraiser. The money raised through this initiative will be invested equally in our Gaelic football, hurling, camogie and Ladies Gaelic Football county teams (50%) and in the essential refurbishment of TEG Cusack Park to make the venue fit for purpose for our players and patrons. It is vital that this is a success and in a sense the Westmeath GAA community is on trial with this venture. St Josephs GAA are commencing our involvement with the fundraiser this and we hope to see lots of families taking part and of course our players at all levels participating.
Anyone taking part is asked to send in the pictures to lakecountychallenge@gmail.com and to use the hashtag #lakecountychallenge and #westmeathgaaoffical
It’s a great initiative and with so many of us walking, cycling and engaging in physical activity then it is an ideal way to get motivated for the next four weeks.
